Moraira used to be a small fishing village but has grown into a cosy seaside resort with shops, restaurants and pavement cafés galore. Several beaches, crystal-clear water, the beautiful bay of El Portet and a large marina make Moraira the pearl of the Costa Blanca. Because Moraira has no high-rise buildings, the village centre still has an authentic feel. On Friday mornings, a visit to the large weekly market is definitely worthwhile.
